Production Blog: Troubles With Starting
We start our music video this week! When we started, we originally agreed to try to get this done as soon as possible so we could have as much time to critique it as we wanted. However, the universe had other plans for us. We all agreed to start on the second weekend of the month and assumed everyone would be free. As it grew closer, things started popping up for everyone that continuously got in the way. Personally, I had to be absent from that thursday and friday of school and all saturday because of a family wedding. This wedding was in Tampa and my parents were leaving so I had no way of staying behind to start. I informed my group and they were understanding. We then proposed that we start that sunday because I would be back. Riley then said she had work that sunday and it was too short notice to take off. It was here that we realized that aligning everyone's schedules would be much harder than we thought.
After the weekend, we all came to the consensus that we have to start as soon as we possibly can now. To do this, we decided that we would have to start right after school. This would work because everyone besides me in my group has a car. Since we all go to the same school, we would be able to leave with each other in the same car and go right to wherever we needed to go. We talked about where everyone lives and what is unfortunate for me is that where we plan to film our video is very far from my house and I do not drive. What is even more unfortunate is that Marissa and Mackena can drive me there with them, but not back home. This means that whenever we film I will need to get picked up from the location by my parents who work, so this will be a bit of a challenge to find a time my parents can take an hour from their work to come and get me. A good thing however is that my father works from home, which will make it just a tad bit easier to arrange pick-up. I am getting my license at the end of next month if only it was just a little sooner!
